2020 H/ball League: COAS Shooters Threat To Other Teams Says Samora

Former Nigeria Senior Men’s Handball player, Samuel Samora said COAS Shooters remains a threat to other teams in the 2020 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

COAS Shooters beat Niger United 30 to 28 goals to woes condemn the Minna based team to their second consecutive defeat.

The COAS Shooters captain hailed his teammates for standing tall despite the pressure from Niger United.

He said, “COAS Shooters is a major threat to all the teams present at this year’s Prudent Energy Handball League. We lost some players to other teams but worked with the ones available. Most teams thought we could not survive but here we are winning two straight matches.

“I must commend my teammates for putting up a strong fight against Niger United. They wanted to out run us but we manned our defense line; our new signing Ibrahim Jemilu (former Niger United player) did well to punish his team too”.

Samora revealed that the Nigeria Army team went through rigorous training exercises during the lockdown to withstand any form of pressure.

“During the COVID-19 pandemic, the team went through rigorous physical and mental training to change the mentality of the players. The team did drills both morning and night to ensure we withstand any form of pressure from teams”.
