Abdulrahman Bashir of Enyimba Int’l in an exclusive chat with OwoSports.com says the People’s Elephant are battle ready for CAF Play-Off first leg tie against TS Galaxy of South Africa.

The People’s Elephant have been in closed camping in Otta for more than a week ahead of the all important fixture in the second tier of African elite inter-club competition after they lost out in the CAF Champions League to Sudanese club.

The former Nasarawa Utd striker said it was a good decision from the management of Enyimba to camp them in Otta in other to be fully prepared and avoid unnecessary distraction.

“The preparation we had in Otta was tough and the best way to avoid unnecessary distractions from our diehard fans as we countdown to the CAF Play-Off 1st leg game against TS Galaxy of South Africa.

“We trained as a team and want to win as one. I appreciate our management and coaches for deeming it fit for the team to have a closed camping.

“After losing out for a place in the CAF Champions League group stage, this is a big game for us and we are determined to give it all we have.

“I don’t want to talk much ahead the game against Galaxy as no personal target from me, rather I want to appeal to our fans in Aba to come cheers the team to victory.”

Having spent four seasons with the Peoples Elephants, the Ilorin-born ace hinted that, ”
Enyimba is a team many domestic league players want to wear its shirt.

“They are an ambitious club, hungry to win trophies. So any player who wishes for success will not say no when an Enyimba offer comes his way.

“The management policy is one that is most proffessional compared to the other teams in the NPFL and I love Aba, their fans are very passionate about the game.”

With regard to the game against Nasarawa Utd on MatchDay 1 of the NPFL,
“The new season opening game against my former club is must win. No emotional feelings for me despite me been an ex-Solid Minner three seasons ago.

“A win from the game will be the right tonic we need going into the new season as they target is to win a 9th Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) title.”
