The Super Eagles of Nigeria completed their African cup of Nation’s qualifiers with a resounding 3-0 win over the crocodiles of Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Goals from Victor Osimhen, Oghenekaro Etebo and Pual Onuachu was all the Super Eagles needed to seal a comfortable win as they made a return to Lagos after 20 years.
The Eagles started on a bright note and found the back of the net through Osimhen who received a perfect pass from Kelechi Iheanacho to fire pass the on rushing goalkeeper, but his effort was adjourned for offside.
Osimhen finally got the opener in the 22nd minutes with a slick finish from a brilliant pass from Kelechi Iheanacho as the Eagles cruised to 1-0 at the break.
Etebo doubled the lead just after the Interval to put Nigeria in cruise control of the game after an unselfish finish pass from Victor Osimhen who was through on goal but decided to lay it into the path of Oghenekaro Etebo, substitute Paul Onauchu scored his third goal for Nigeria after a lovely pass from Kelechi Iheanacho to complete rout on the visitors.
The Eagles will head to Cameroon unbeaten after six round of games as they secured 14th point in total ahead of Benin Republic and Serrie Lone who are yet to play their last game in Freetown.
