African Club C’ship: Customs Women’s Volleyball Team Departs For Tunisia

Nigeria Customs Service women’s volleyball team has departed from Abuja to Kelibia for the 2022 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship on Tuesday night, an official of the team has confirmed.

The 2022 African Women’s Volleyball Club Championship is scheduled for 18th May to 1st June, 2022 in Tunisia.

According to Samuel Onikeku, Sports Secretary General of Nigeria Customs Service, the contingent consists of 14 players, two coaches and an official.

The list of players includes; Aisha Umaru, Esther Ahua, Helen Umeh, Eunice Stephen, Mary Gana and Tochukwu Nnoruga.

Others are; Francisca Ikhiede, Ijeoma Ukpabi, Kelechi Iwobi, Kelechi Ndukauba, Rafiat Mustapha, Esther Dusu, Mary John and Bethel Okorie.

Former National team player, Suleiman Courage and 2015 All African Games Gold medalist, Priscilla Agara will tutor the team while the leader of delegation is Samuel Onikeku, Sports Secretary General of Nigeria Customs Service.

Onikeku maintained that the players will continue to do the service and nation proud at National and International Championship.

Onikeku hopes the team surpass their previous record at the African Club Championship adding that there will be not pressure on the team.
