Kwara United energetic midfielder Ayobami Junior popularly known as “Agba” has expressed confidence that his team will beat visiting Akwa United in Ilorin in NPFL match-day 30 clash on Saturday.

Agba has been impressive this season for Kwara United creating five assists with 1 goal and his presence on the pitch always give Kwara fans happiness.

The former 3SC star stated clearly while speaking with Kwara United Media that the game against Akwa United will be tough considering their opponents’ status as reigning champions of NPFL, but stressed that Coach Deji Ayeni and his wards will fall in Ilorin.

“It’s a must win match for us and we are ready to pick our three points which will definitely help our position on the NPFL table,” Agba explained to Kwara United Media.

In history, Kwara United and Akwa United have met 13 times with these two teams having 4 wins each while the remaining 5 games ended in draws.

In the first fixture played this season in Uyo, Kwara United’s Stephen Jude missed a penalty, but Samad Kadiri’s brilliant goal gave Coach Biffo and his men a point.

Also, Kwara United have not beaten Akwa United in Ilorin since their 2-1 victory in October 4, 2015, and getting the win on Saturday will be massive for the Harmony Boys.

Kwara United currently occupy sixth position on the NPFL table with 43 points, while Akwa United are 5th with 44 points.

The encounter between Kwara United and Akwa United will be played behind closed doors at the Kwara state stadium on Saturday.
