CAF Inter-Club Competition:Kick-off Dates Released, As Nigerian Maintains It’s Four Slots


Confederations of Africa football (CAF) has made known the kick off date of the 2021/2022 Caf inter-club competitions, the African football governing body also clarified teams classifications for the tournaments, reports.

Twelve countries including Nigeria will present two teams for each competitions (Champions League and Confederation Cup).

The preliminary round is slated for 10th -12th September while the second leg is fixed for a week later.

The group stage games is to commence on the weekend of 11th to 13th, February 2022.

Nigeria is yet to submit it’s representative as the league is yet to be concluded with ten games remaining to go, meanwhile Akwa United and Nasarawa United currently occupies the two Champions league spot with Kano third on log occupies the first slot of the Caf Confederations cup.

The Winner of the 2021 Aiteo Cup competition will automatically pick up the fourth slot for Caf Confederations Cup.
