Tunis, Tunisia, April 15, 2021- Twenty teams were attracted to participate at the 2021 Men’s African Club Championship due to start in Tunis, Tunisia on Sunday April 18, 2021 in spite of the current health situation during Covid-19 pandemic.
CAVB Board led by the president Mrs Bouchra Hajij did their best in the last weeks to resume volleyball activity in the continent after about 14 months of compulsory stop due to coronavirus pandemic.
Among other African giant clubs, Esperance of Tunisia who just set the local Tunisian double of the league and cup come as one of the big contenders for the title. The 4 time champions dreams a fifth crown in their homelands.
In absence of the record holders, Ahly of Egypt who earlier withdraw, their compatriot Zamalek are also great favourites with 5 titles under their name, but the last was 9 years ago in 2012,
