Chelsea Set To Pocket £25m For Nigeria Defender

European champions Chelsea are reportedly set to cash in on Canadian born Nigeria decent center back Fikayo Tomori.

According to reports AC Milan are currently working to secure the permanent transfer of the centre-back who was impressive during his short loan spell with Milan last season where he made 22 appearance for the Italians scoring just once.

Manager Stefano Piolo confirmed his side intend to activate the clause to keep Tomori, “We want to buy Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea.

“Our intention is clear and also Fikayo’s decision [staying at Milan].”

According to transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, “Thomas Tuchel’s transfer kitty will receive a £25m boost if Milan complete a permanent move for Tomori.

“It was also reported earlier this month that Milan have officially triggered a clause in Tomoro’s loan deal to make the move a permanent one. A five-year deal is now expected to be completed imminently.

Tomori, Chelsea accademy graduate enjoyed a breakthrough seasons under Frank Lampard where he played 21 times scoring two goals providing 5 assist in the 2019/2020 season after returning from a two Championship loans with Derby.

Fikayo Tomori alongside Tammy Abraham are currently in Lagos Nigeria where they are spending their summer holiday.
