Ever since I received news of Hon. Chidi Offor’s passing this morning, I have been dumbfounded, greatly devastated and managed to muster enough breath this evening to pay a glowing tribute to my brother and friend who was a great Nigerian patriot, seasoned administrator and gentle man whose life inspired so many. This is a sad loss, not only for his immediate family, but for the Enugu Football Association, Nigeria National League(NNL) and the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF).
On behalf of the Anambra State Football Association, FC Ifeanyi Ubah and the entire football family in Anambra, I wish to convey my sincere and heartfelt sympathy to the family of the deceased, his friends, associates, Enugu F.A and the entire Nigerian Football Federation(NFF).
Hon. Chidi Offor will always be remembered as a great contributor who made an extraordinarily positive impact on football administration in Nigeria. As we mourn his demise today, we will continue to remember him in our hearts and in our works as we pay tribute to his legacy which will continue to live on.
I pray the good Lord to grant the soul of the deceased repose, just as we seek divine help and grace for his family to bear this irreplaceable loss.
