Ex-Olympic Eagles Player Wins POTM In Europe

Nigerian International, Joshua Akpudje, has been nominated as the Player Of The Month (POTM) for FK Jablonec, in the Czech Republic Premier League.

Akpudje, 24, beats off competition from two attacking players from his team; ‪Vladimir Jovovic, a ‬28-year-old left-winger and Jan Chramosta, 32-year-old striker to emerged as the POTM for October,2022.

Joshua pulled the highest number of votes with 38 percent, while Jovovic and Chramosta gathered 17/15 percent of the total votes casted, by the fans of the club respectively.

The former Nigerian Under 23 player, expressed his profound gratitude via his official twitter handle, shortly after he was announced as the winner by FK Jablonec.

“In less than 2months in Czech Republic, I’m super excited to be nominated as the Player Of The Month for my team.

“Grateful to all the fans that voted for me. I will never take this for granted. I will continue to work hard till we achieve our aim for the season.”

The 24-year-old ex-MFM FC defender, who has had full 90 minutes in 10 appearances for the Jablonec, since he joined them from Lithuanian side, FK Panevėžys, in September, 2022, is fast becoming one of the influential players of his team, with superb performances week in out week out.

FK Jablonec are 10th in the Czech Republic Premier League. They will face SK Sigma Olomouc, in the League this weekend at the Andrův stadion.
