Exclusive: Alamayo Reveals Why He Joined Niger Tornadoes


The Kwara United attacker has revealed why he considered the NNL based side,Niger Tornadoes as his option of loan during the mid season transfer.

Abdulrasaq Sodiq Alamoyo had his debut in Niger Tornadoes 2-0 victory over ABS Ilorin FC on Sunday and it was a delight for him playing against the ‘Saraki Army’ although admitted it to be a tough game.

In an exclusive interview with www.owosports.ng.com, the former Wikki Tourist of Bauchi talisman said the motivation behind his move from Kwara United was based on his urge to get involved on the pitch.

“No, I’m still in kwara United but because of the issue of playing time, I asked for loan” Alamayo said

Even while teams like Heartland and Warri Wolves were on the table as his destination,he pointed out the understanding between Coach Bala Abubakar of Tornadoes as the reason why he considered the move to Minna.

” I need to play under a coach that understand me very well. Issue of playing time is affecting my game-That’s why I choose Niger Tornadoes because the Coach is my former Coach” the former Gombe United emphasized.

While noting the fact that no place like home,the ilorin born winger relished his new side and acknowledged It is now a whole lot of new experience.

He further added that his immediate task is to help the Niger State owned club back to the elite league

“My aim and objective is to work and be part of the players that will lead Niger Tornadoes back to NPFL next season” he concluded.

Niger Tornadoes are currently the leader of the group A2 of northern conference of the NNL with 20 points. They will face Kogi United away from home in their next game.
