Coach Suleiman Quadri has penned a year contract with Togo second division club, Arabia FC.

The Coach who last handled Anges FC Notse, a top flight side in Togo said he is identifying with the new side based on their vision and ambition to create opportunities for talented footballers.

He believes that Arabia FC in no distant future will become one of the most successful club in the country due to their investment in infrastructure and a productive management.

“They didn’t respect the contract that we signed and secondly the management wanted to interfere in players selection for match which i didn’t agree with them” revealed the Kwara born gaffer while justifying his decision to quit his former club.

The tactician said he wasn’t comfortable with what he described as ‘uncoventional system’ and had to tender his resignation which was even rejected by the club if not for his insistence.

“After 3 matches in the second round, i tendered my resignation letter which they rejected. But I insisted that i have already made up my mind” he said.

The Togo second division league is expected to commence very soon and Coach Suleiman had set a promotion target as his immediate task.

“I am here to promote the team to the top flight and help them  produce players that are attractive to the global market”

Under Coach Suleiman, Arabia FC has played 16 friendly matches in their préparation for the upcoming league. The team won 14 games, drew and lost one each.

As the Assistant Coach of the Senior team, Coach Quadri led the ABS Ilorin FC youth team to clinch the NPFL/Laliga U-15 tournament in 2017.
