Uzbekistan Pro League started on a fantastic note for FC Oqtepa as they defeated FC Zaamin during their 2020/2021 league match on 23rd June, 2020.
The opening goal came through a powerful strike from Ibrahim Gbadamosi Tomiwa on the 76th minute, leaving the FC Zaamin goalkeeper in a state of helplessness.
Tomiva as he is fondly called by his teammates joined FC Oqtepa from Chykap Int’l Football Club Lagos early this year and has continuously demonstrated his authority as a center forward with exceptional qualities.
This daring and explosive striker, who punishes defenders with his agility, intelligence, swiftness and eyes for goal in the trial matches and while in Nigeria, was a thorn in the flesh of the visiting team during the encounter as he kept exploring every opportunity until he found the back of the net.
On the 80th minute the home team increased the tally with an additional goal to seal their victory by 2-0.
“I am very very happy and thank God for scoring in today’s match because it will motivate me to work harder and score more goals in subsequent games” he stated after the game.
