Turkish gaint Fenerbahce are keen to battle Galatasaray for the signature of Monaco’s striker Henry Onyekuru, Owosports.com.ng.
According to fotospor, it is understood that Fenerbahce have open negotiations with Monaco regarding a potential swap deal for Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru
The Yellow-Navy Blues are said to be willing to include Nigerian-born winger Bright Osayi-Samuel in the deal that will see Onyekuru move to the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
Osayi-Samuel, 23, joined Fenerbahce from Queens Park Rangers in the winter transfer window, has failed to impress scoring just one goal in 18 matches in the Super Lig he featured in.
Fotospor has suggested that Fenerbahce president Ali Koç is looking to cash in on the Nigeria-born talent, however would be willing to include him in a swap deal to bring in the Monaco striker.
Onyekuru impressed at Galatasaray, scoring five goals and providing another four assists in only 14 games for coach Fatih Terim’s side in his second loan spell with the club.
Reports from Turkish outlet Sebah, suggest Galatasaray are ready to activate the option to buy included in his loan deal but want a discount on the €4.3m demanded to complete the move.
Other European club’s including Olympiacos are also said to be interested in the Nigerian International with the Greek champions having a better chance of landing the Super Eagles star should Galatasaray fail to reach an agreement with Monaco as he may not be eager to move to Galatasaray’s city rivals Fenerbache.
