Florence Omagbemi Rejects NFF Super Falcons Coaching Role


Former Super Falcons handler, Florence Omagbemi, has rejected an offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to return as the Nigeria female National team assistant coach, OwoSports Reports.

Florence Omagbemi was the captain of the Super Falcons for 16 years, before she was appointed the teams head coach as she led the team to winning the African Women’s Nations Cup trophy in Cameroun 2016, her contract was not renewed by the NFF in December that year despite calls by some football loving-Nigerians to the NFF to do so.

According to reports from the family, the NFF offered the position of an assistant coach to her Tuesday evening with an order to relocate from the United States to Nigeria immediately which she turned down.
