Photos have emerged of the former Katsina United Technical Adviser, Henry Makinwa is presently in Madrid, Spain on holiday.
The UEFA Pro badged coach resigned his position from Katsina United before the current NPFL season after leading them to a 7th placed finish on the Points Per Game table of last season.
Makinwa was seen through his Facebook handle hanging out with his children with a Spanish caption of ” Un saludo de Makinwas” which literally means ‘greetings from Makinwas’ whilst donning Nigeria coloured jerseys.
He added on the Facebook post that his family “vote for a better Nigeria”. A message which can’t be unconnected from the recent happenings of ethnic clash in some part of the country and other insecurity challenges.
Recall the first professional club outside Nigeria the striker signed for was Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish second division in 1997. He has since then build an affinity with the Country and his family currently lives there.
The former ABS Ilorin FC and Abia Warriors is hoping to get back to dug out very soon to continue his coaching career after enjoying one of the most enduring football career spanning decades.
“We had a mutual consent to part ways, no crisis. They don’t owe me a dime, and we are just happy to part ways – both of us.” Makinwa said after terminating his contract with Katsina United.
Bishir Sadauki, his assistant who was engaged as the Technical Adviser after he left Katsina United has now been returned back to his former position as the management recently secured the signature of Baldwin Bazuaye to lead the team out of it’s floundering start in to the new season.
