Iwobi’s Everton Survive, Iheanacho, Ndidi Sink With Leicester City

Alex Iwobi’s Everton will play Premier League football in the 2023/2024 season after they survived the drop following their 1-0 victory over Bournemouth at the Godison Park in the final day of the English premier league.

57th minutes strike from Malian midfielder Abdoulaye Doucouré was what the Toffees needed to avoid being relegated as they finish with 36 points two above Leicester City who finished with 34 points.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho have been relegated to English Championship with Leicester City despite their 2-1 victory over Westharm United.

Leicester City are relegated for the first time since 2014-2015 season where they gained promotion after a decade absent.

The Foxes since their promotion established themselves as one of Premier League top sides as they went on to win the EPL and the 2015/2016 season and the FA Cup in 2020/2021 season and also played in the UEFA champions league in 2016/2017 season where they made it to the Quarter Final before being knocked out by Sevilla.

It would be a season to forget for Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu who would be playing in the second teir of English Football the Sky Bet Championship.

Leeds United have also been Relegated form the Premier League after they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.
