Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho is set for Leicester City’s Goal of the Season award after being nominated, Owosports report.
Leicester city on Wednesday via their twitter handle announced the 12 nominees for the award with a video clips.
The 24-year-old was nominated following his brilliant goal against Brentford in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup in January which Leicester won 1-0, the former Manchester City star scored the only goal of the game after just four minutes when he tapped in a cross from full-back James Justin.
Other players norminated for the award are Jamie Vardy, Harvey Barnes, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira, Ayoze Perez, Ben Chilwell and Hamza Choudhury.
Aside the Goal of the Season award, other categories are Supporters’ Player of the Season and Young Player of the Season.
There will be no End of Season Dinner this season, due to coronavirus social distancing protocol in the UK.
Voting by Leicester city club fans for all awards will close at 12pm on Friday 24 July.
