Kwara football Stakeholders Pledges Support For Newly Inaugurated Abruka Queens FC

Football Stakeholders in Kwara state have thrown their weight behind the newly unveiled female football club, Abruka Queens FC of Ilorin.

Mallam Abdullahi Musa Thuraya, Chairman of Kwara FA in his remarks during the Club’ innaguration commended the Proprietor of the club, Hajia Segilola Alaya for her ingenuity in establishing the team.

Thuraya who inaugrated the team described the development as encouraging and gave assurance that the FA under his watch will continue to support  initiatives that will promote football development in the State.

The first democratically elected Chairman of FA in Kwara State revealed that his administration, in view of the FIFA and NFF female football development blueprints will be donating a trophy for a secondary school female football Competition in the State very soon with a view to unearth football potentials at the grassroots.

Earlier in her remarks, the Chairman and Proprietor of the club, Hajia Segilola Alaya said she is convinced that a platform like Abruka Queens will provide opportunity for  female footballer in the State to be empowered and maximize their innates talents.

She appreciated all the stakeholders for standing by the team and added that their continued support will help them  achieve their dreams.

Aisha Falode, the Chairperson of the Nigeria Women Football League who spoke through phone conversation to the gathering applauded Hajia Alaya’s effort.
“I am hopeful that the development will inspire others to invest in women football”.

The Director of football, ABS Ilorin FC,Alloy Chukwuemeka,  Administrator of the Kwara football Academy, Jimoh Kehinde, Patigi Football Council Chairman, Engr Idris Jibril, Chairman, Kwara Referees Council, T.A Muhammed in their various speeches congratulated the team and charge them to remain focus in their newly found pursuit.

Other members of the team management inaugrated are  Alhaji Saka Bolaji Morrow,Team Manager,Shade Asaju, Secretary,
Serifat Gesua,Welfare Officer, Taiwo Olusoji, Camp Commandant ,Grace Olusegun,Kits Manager,Jimoh Bashir, Media Consultant,Olukutan Kolawole,Media Officer and Oba Sulyman as the Coordinator.

Technical Crew for the newly club are Rotimi Adekanye Ojokojo Jnr, Chief Coach, Ariyo Mohammed, Assistant Coach, Tunde Mohammmed Goalkeeper Trainer,Ganiyu Mansankore, Trainer, Feyi Oladosu, Medical  and Ibraheem Abdulrahman, Masseur of the team.

The event also witnessed the inauguration of Club Advisers whose wealth of experience are going to be harvested in running the club, namely, the CEO and Publisher of Sportspro News, Bayour Issah, former Chairman,Kwara FA, Mallam Busari Ishola and  Hajia Kareem Rasheedat.

Alhaji Abdullahi Aliyu Alaya, the husband of Hajia Segilola thanked all the stakeholders for their immense contribution towards organising the programme and establishing the club.

Ademola Kiyesola, YSFON Chairman,Kwara State, Kwara Ladies FC Chairman, M J Daudu, Alhaji Zakirudeen Oladotun were among many other notable guests at the unveiling of the 16 players.
