Kwara Utd Players, Staff To Receive Full Salaries Despite Covid-19, Says Kumbi

Following the recent global strife caused by the CoronaVirus pandemic (Covid19) that has disrupt sporting activities globally, chairman of NPFL side, Kwara United has disclosed that the club has been paying full salaries to its players, coaches and non-playing staff since the outbreak.

Football clubs and sporting authorities worldwide are arrogating measures to circumscribe the financial calamity brought by the virus.

Mallam Kumbi Titiloye(JP) who is the Chairman of Kwara United in an interview session on foremost Nigerian Sports Mouthpiece (NSM), disclosed that the will continue to pay full salaries of staffs and players of the club despite the disruption of footballing activities in the country.

“Kwara United has been paying all staff and management salaries since this pandemic broke out and we intend to continue paying”.

Quizzed on whether the club will continue paying until the world is fully healed, Kumbi said, “We intend to keep paying until we hear otherwise from our owners the Kwara State Government. ”

“I hope the pandemic will be over pretty soon, so we can all go back to what we love doing most, which is football”, he added.

Kwara United are in the relegation zone of the NPFL table occupying the 19th position .
