La Planet Sport Academia Rolls Out Aces For Onigbinde U-17 Tourney

The 2021 edition winner of Kwara State Super League, La Planet Sport Academia will be rolling out the best of its youth team to participate in the maiden edition of Onigbinde U-17 tournament.

Scheduled to hold from October 20th -31th, the competition was initiated to honour the football icon and former Super Eagles Coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde.

Organised by Onigbinde Forum, the tournament will be featuring a total number of 32 teams across the Nation with all actions billed to happen at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium in Ibadan, capital of Oyo State.

With aims to discover talents and provide platform for them to showcase their innate skills,the tournament has been tipped to be a developmental programme; a thrust which has always been advocated by Chief Onigbinde.

La Planet Sports Academia youth team are currently occupying the third position on the log of NFCA Kwara U-17 Youth League with 31 points and are poised to replicate the standard of football which they represent in the football fiesta.

Coach Sheriff Jimoh of the side has however expressed his optimism that his lads will show a good account of themselves in the tournament and achieve the best of feat.

The project has the former Super Eagles players, Ike Shoronmu and Mutiu Adepoju as ambassadors with a view to inspire the young generation.
