Magate Management Hails Coach Yema As Eaglets Emerge WAFU U-17 Kings

The management of Nationwide League One
(NLO) club, Magate FC has congratulated it’s former coach, Yemi (YEMA) Olanrewaju after Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets emerged champions of the 2022 West African Football Union (WAFU B) U-17 tournament on Friday.

Eaglets, who are five-time world cadet champions defeated Burkina Faso 2-1 to lift the trophy in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Yema, is an Assistant Coach to the victorious Golden Eaglets legend and gaffer, Nduka Ugbade.

General Manager of Magate FC, Comrade Owolabi Aleshiloye while pouring accolades on the Golden Eaglets describe Yema as a hard working, dedicated and a coach with good work ethics.

“Congratulations to the Golden Eaglets and off course Coach Yema on the feat in Ghana. Wining the WAFU B U-17 tourney going unbeaten, showed depth in the team and expertise on the side of the coaching crew.

“Magate FC is proud to be part of Yema’s success story, as he has proven to his critics that he’s one of the best youth coaches in Nigeria.

“I want to use this medium to charge him to keep focus and dedication to the team, as there’s a huge task ahead in the CAF U-17 in Algeria, where they will compete with the best cadet teams in Africa to qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Peru.

“Once again, congratulations to him and the Eaglets as everyone at Magate FC wishes them well as they prepare for big stage in Algeria.”

A brace from Abubakar Abdullah gave Nigeria the edge to lift the title at the expense of the Burkinabes.

The two finalists, Nigeria and Burkina Faso have picked the two tickets to represent West African countries at the CAF U17 African Nations Cup in Algeria in March 2023.
