Ndidi Named MOTM In Leicester Win Over Liverpool

Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was crowned man of the match as Leicester inflicted more misery on Liverpool following a 3-1 comeback win at the King Power stadium, OwoSports reports.

Ndidi who recently recovered from an hamstring injury suffered last month in their 1-1 draw against Everton, was in superb form as he provided an assist for the third goal as Liverpool collapsed to a 3-1 defeat at the King Power, which further dent their hopes of defending their title.

Goals from James Maddison, Jamie Vardy and Harvey Barnes within the last 10 minutes of the game ensured they cancelled out Mohamed Salah’s 65 minutes opener.

With five minutes left Ndidi set up Barnes to seal the win for the Foxes who temporarily go second on 46 points. Liverpool are fourth on 40 points.

The Super Eagles star made more recoveries (11) and won more aerial duels (5) than any other player in the first half against Liverpool.

Meanwhile his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho was an unused substitute for Rodger’s men.
