NFF Calls Off Coaching License Courses, Amidst Lockdown

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has suspended all the request of coaching license courses due to Covid-19 pandemic.

In a letter dated 10th of June, 2020 written to the Chairman of Nigeria Football Coaches Association (NFCA), coach Ladan Bosso, signed by Abdul-Rafiu Yusuff, a technical officer of football governing body noted that the decision came as a result of Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) directives to suspend all request for CAF coaching courses.

According to NFF letter addressed to NFCA Chairman, “This is to bring to your notice that we received a correspondence from CAF informing all Members Association that requests for coaching license courses have been suspended meanwhile due to the lockdown imposed on many countries.

However, it was also said that as soon as the suspension was lifted, the body will pursue all the earlier made requests from applicants. 

“As soon as the suspension is lifted and we are given the green light, we shall duly inform you and pursue the request we have made already.

The letter advised the football gaffers chairman to inform all his members of the latest development.

Covid-19 pandemic has put every sporting activities on hold since it broke out, it’s however noteworthy to say that football activities are beginning to resume back to action across the world albeit under strict health protocols aimed at curbing the spread of the virus.
