The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) executive board members has mandated its Technical and Development Committee to submit the names of coaches for National teams.
In the board meeting which held on 10th of August via video conference, the body directed the committee to provide it with the shortlist of candidates for positions of Head Coaches for three categories of National teams.
The committe is expected to work with NFF Integrity Office in producing the shortlist of candidates for the positions of Head Coaches of the U20 and U17 National Women Teams and the U15 Boys National Team.
The tasks also includes the submission of candidates names for the position of Consultant on Coaches Training and Development for the NFF.
Preparation of the U20 and U17 Women National Teams for upcoming FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying matches is pressing on the NFF and the need for Coaches to handle the teams is very urgent and imperative.
Similarly, the Board also announced during the meeting that it had written to the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development for a special waiver to call the girls to camp in preparation for the qualifiers.
It was revealed that, the body currently awaits response from the Government before making any moves for the camping amid Covid-19 pandemic.
