NNL Fines Malumfashi A Million Naira For Dishonoring Matchday Two Fixtures

The Nigeria National League has fined Malumfashi Football Club of Katsina the sum of one million naira for failing to honour its week two’ fixture against Zamfara United, OwoSports.com.ng report.

According to a press released by The Nigerian National League, it is understood that the Katsina based club had violated articles 14.3 to 14.7 of the rules and regulation guiding the league.

“Malumfashi therefore are to pay the sum of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) for not honouring the said match with Zamfara United as directed by the League body.

In Other punitive measures, the League body has declared the Kahutu Stadium, home ground of Malumfashi Malumfashi Football Club of Katsina as unsafe and not conducive to host its matches and directed the club to communicate an alternative stadium for its home games in next the one week.

Chief Operating officer of the League body, Emmanuel Adesanya speaking to its Media and Communication department, said the NNL will be compelled to move Malumfashi to a venue of its choice should they fail to heed the latest directive.

The NNL also ruled that the match between Malumfashi FC and Zamfara United shall be replayed on a neutral ground on a date to be announced.
For refusing to play Malumfashi shall bear all expenses incurred by Zamfara United and indemnities of match officials,failure shall be an award of three(3) points and three(3)goals to Zamfara United.

The NNL,equally issued a stern warning to the Chairman of Malumfashi FC, Alhaji Surajo Baba Baba Umar for the roles he played in the aborted game, especially flouting its directives on time of the match.
