NPFL Preview: Talking Points As Kwara United Clash MFM FC In Ilorin

Kwara United lost their grip in the top four after their 2-1 defeat to FC Ifeanyi Ubah in Nnewi in their last game.

The 85th minutes second goal of Ekene Awaziem short-lived the hope of the visitors in securing a point on the road after Steven Jude had equalized Ekene’s opener from the spot kick.

Now seating fifth on the table, the Harmony Boys will be facing yet another another strong side that seems to have improved after a tumultuous moment which enveloped their strength in the current season.

MFM FC have not lost any of their last six games and with their renewed vigour, they would be facing the Kwara team with an extraordinary virility- though they have never won Kwara United in their homeground.

Records obtained from shows the two sides have met six times before now. While Kwara United won three times in their last meetings, MFM FC also won two of the encounters and both teams shared spoil in another schedule.

Meanwhile, Coach Abdullahi Biffo led Kwara United side have not lost any of their NPFL matches at home this season- meaning the Olukoya Boys from Lagos will have a hard knot to crack when they square up against their opponent in the match day 27 of the NPFL billed for Kwara State Stadium Complex in Ilorin.

MFM are occupying 10th position on the log with 36 points while their host are holding the ground as the 5th placed team with 43 points.
