NPFL Wrap Up: Akwa United Two Wins Away From League Title After Whipping Wolves In Uyo

Akwa United are two wins away from being crowned champions of the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) after they walloped Warri Wolves 3-0 in Uyo to extend its lead at the top of the table to six points ahead of Nasarawa United and Kano Pillars, reports.

A brace from Charles Atshimene and Ubong Friday’s goal helped the Uyo based side to another home win in their quest to win the league title with four games to the end of the season.

Second-placed, Nasarawa United suffered a 3-2 defeat to Lobi Stars in Benue with all the goals being scored in the first half.
