NPFL21: Show Of Shame As Heartland FC Players And Officials Held Hostage In Katsina Over Debts

Nigeria Professional Football League side Heartland football club of Owerri were reportedly denied exit from their hotel in Katsina just after their 3-2 defeat to Katsina United in their opening game of the 2020/21 football season.

According to reports from Katsina on Tuesday morning, from a football official who wrote, “Heartland fc have been held at their hotel (Fadama view hotel) here in katsina after owing the hotel management.”

There are no official statement from the club as at the time of filling this report.

Meanwhile this is coming weeks after a huge cry from players and officials as they were being-owed six months of their salaries by the management of the Imo state government.
