This is a team that has accumulated 13 points on the road and their 2 nil victory over Adamawa United on Saturday has extended their unbeaten run in the current NPFL season to 18 games.

Charles Atshimene got the promise keepers into the lead in the 26th minutes of the game before Mfon Udoh doubles the advantage for the homeside.

The last time Kennedy Boboye  lost a game in the league was in February at Nasarawa United- they have now secured 10 wins and 8 draws in the season under review.

Adamawa United couldn’t pull off any magic at the Nest of Champions in Uyo even as they had approached the game with the motivation from their last 2 nil home win over Rivers United.

With the victory, Akwa United have maintained their grip on the first spot on the log with 53 points while Adamawa United are still seating helpless at the bottom of the table with 19 points from 28 encounters.

The remaining matches of the NPFL match day 28 will go down on Sunday across the game centres.
