Nigerian Football legend, Nwankwo Kanu has urged the Golden Eaglets to go all out for victory against the Baby Elephants of Ivory Coast in the final of the WAFU B U-17 tournament billed for Stade Kegue, Lome, Togo on Monday.
The two-time African footballer of the year, who helped Nigeria to win the 1993 FIFA U-17 in Japan admonished the players to give their all against the Ivoriens in the final in order to emerge victorious.
Kanu Papilo Nwankwo spoke to the Eaglets via WhatsApp video call when they had their dinner on Sunday evening at Hotel Novela Star, Lome, Togo.
The Golden Eaglet lost their opening game of the ongoing WAFU B U17 tourney to the Baby Elepehant by a lone goal, before picking up a point against Ghana after a 1-1 draw, the Eaglets qualified via goal difference after Ivory coast beat Ghana 3-1.
They went on to beat Burkina Faso in the Semifinal by lone goal to book a final tie with Ivory Coast who saw off Niger Republic by same margin.
Golden Eaglets will file out later today in the final against Ivory Coast Which will kickoff by 8pm Nigerian time.
