Head coach of Naija Ratels Bankole Olowokere has revealed that his plan and target next season is to win the NWFL and pick the sole ticket to represent Nigeria at the CAF Women’s Champions League.

Olowokere who lead Nigeria U17 women’s team to a third place finish in India at the FIFA U17 Women’s World said he goes into every major tournament with the mindset of winning and he will be hoping to win the Nigeria Women’s league.

Olowokere helped Niaja Ratels to gain promotion to the Nigeria women’s league (NWFL) and also guided the club to the Super Six for the first time of asking but they finished bottom with Bayelsa Queens emerging Champions.

The coach who was on a National team duty with the Nigeria U17 girls says this time he is fully on ground and will do everything possible to make the Super Six so he can aswell push for the title.

“Those who knows me should know that when I go to any tournament I always go there to try and win it which is also the wish of every coaches,. but it not about saying it alone you have to prepare towards it aswell.

When we qualified for the Super 6 last season our aim was to go win and qualify for the CAF Champions League but it was unfortunate we couldn’t achieve it.

We would first try to reach the Super six and then try to win it and qualify for the CAF Women’s Champions League”, he said to Owosports.com.ng.

Niaja Ratels will begin their 2022/2023 Nigeria women’s football league (NWFL) campaign at home against newly promoted Heartland Ladies.

The league is scheduled to kickstart on the 30th of November 2022.
