NWFL Pay Tribute To Late George Emenetie

The Nigeria Women Football League, under the leadership of Aisha Falode has received with shock the passing away of former Delta Queens Coach, George Emenetie.

Emenetie passed away in the late hours of friday evening in Warri and has been described as a true professional and someone who always rallied behind the various teams he has managed to success.

The Chief Operating Officer, Mrs Faith Ben-Anuge on behalf of the Chairperson of the NWFL, and other board members joins many in the women football fraternity in paying last respect to the manager who made a vital contribution with the defunct Ufuoma Babes in the early 90’s.

George Emenetie was assistant to Napoleon Alouma during a golden spell at the club, where they won four NWFL Premiership titles in 1992, 1993, 1995 and 1996.

The Delta-born tactician also managed some other clubs in the NWFL Premiership, such as Bayelsa Queens, FCT Queens and Delta Queens.
