In a bid to fast track the preparation towards organising the maiden edition of Ogbomosoland Marathon,the planning committee has scheduled a press conference to hold on Thursday 12th of November in Ogbomoso.
Chairman of the committee, Prince Oyebamiji Aderemi Joy said the press conference is aimed at unveiling all the dimensions of the race and also bring the general public up to speed in the efforts to have a successful event.
“We thought it wise to have the interface with the public once again in order to bring them up to date with all the arrangements we have made to have a successful event’ he said.
The media parley slated for 11am at Living Souls and Garden Hotel,Randa area in Ogbomoso will attract track and field stars across the country.
Expected guests includes, Commander, Civil Defence Corp, Ogbomoso, Unit Commander Federal Road Safety Commission, Commander, Operation Burst, representative of DSS, Ogbomoso zone, Commander NDLEA and Area Commander, Nigeria Police Force.
Royal fathers to grace the event are His Royal Majesty, Oba Francis Olushola Alao, The Olugbon Of Orile-Igbon, His Royal Majesty Oba Thompson Adeyeye Oyetunji, The Alaajawa Of Ajaawa Land and Oba Solomon Olagoke Adisa Akinola Oyeyode The Oranmiyan of Okoland.
Others are the representative of Oyo State sports council ,Director of Education and Sport in all local government and local council development area in Ogbomoso zone, Association of Physical, Health, Sport and Dance and all the Ogbomoso marathon partners.
The Ogbomoso 10km race will hold on Saturday, 28th of November, 2020 in Ogbomoso.
