The Inauguration and flag off ceremony for the 2020 Ogbomoso Marathon Race will take centre stage this Saturday, 1st of February 2020 in Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
The programme amongst many other things is organised to set out the principles and ideals for the first of its kind initiative.
Aimed at discovering hidden talents, the 15 kilometer race event also target the need to promote the art and act of athleticism by providing an annual quality marathon race and other affiliated running activities.
Speaking on the Saturday event, the President Planning Committe Prince Oyebamiji Aderemi Joy said the inauguration and flag off ceremony will have all the intricacies of the Marathon discussed by the Stakeholders.
“The Ceremony will aimed at discussing about the nature and practicalities(sic) of the main programme”
The sport development blueprint also target how the young talented Sports men and women can maximise their potentials and make a definite life out of it.
Stresing the need for partnership in order to deliver the best of the Marathon, Prince Oyebamiji revealed the pressing need to secure partnership in aiding the cause of the programme.
“We have written proposals to many organisations, so we are expecting Companies, Banks and Philantropist to help, support, partner and Sponsor the race”
The flag of ceremony which will commence at 10am in the Morning on Saturday, 1st of February
will hold at Soun Ogunlola City Hall, Oja’gbo Area of Ogbomoso in Oyo State, Nigeria.
