Plateau United Are Battle Ready For CAF Champions League, Says General Manager

The General Manager of Plateau United Football Club of Jos Pius Henwan, says the Lalong boys are ready for the CAF Champions and can’t wait for the Nigeria Professional Football League to start when the federal government ease the lockdown on contact sports activities in the country.

Speaking with 103 news in Jos, Henwan says the team will do better in the forthcoming elite league of club football in the continent and promise to give all the support they need to succeed in the competition, by increasing the players allowances and match bonuses.

“If you will recall the team played there CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup home matches away from home the last time they featured on the continent, but we hope to play here in Jos this time around,” Pius said.

On the issue of homegrown players from the state, he said that they have to sit up and compete with others because only the best will represent the team.

Plateau United is among the four teams that will represent Nigeria in the caf Champions League and the caf confederation Cup come next season
