Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) old horse, Ikechukwu Ibenegbu says his Rangers International of Enugu side displayed an impressive performance against A.S.C Kara of Togo.

The Flying Antelopes qualified to the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup on the away goals rule after aggregate score from both legs stood at 2⃣-2⃣.

Chinonso Eziekwe’s 18th minutes strike helped Rangers cruise past Togolese champions, A.S.C Kara 1-0 in Enugu after losing the first leg 2-1 at Stade de Kegue, Lome a week ago.

Ibenegbu who came on as a substitute said, “This was a very tough match but we showed character to hold on to our goal and qualified for the group stage of the competition. Kara gave us a good fight but unity of purpose saw us through.”

For match winner, Eziekwe:
“I am really thrilled to have scored on my first start for Rangers and the goal helped us qualify to the group stage of a continental competition. We’ll continue to work as a team to make us achieve our target in the competition which is getting to the final.”
