SC Primisport Lasora International Soccer Academy are set to participate in a one week pre-season tourney and scouting programme in Ikenne, Ogun State.
According to the Manager and Technical Director of the team, Bello Ola Lasora, he said the
pre-season competition and scouting excercise will hold from Sunday 17th -24th of January 2021.
Bello said the team received invitation from the Imperial FC Proprietor, a former Super Eagle and Kwara united player, Seyi Olofinjana to participate in the programme which aims to create opportunity for young and talented players.
Olofinjana who also double as Wolverhampton England youth players Director is said to be the brain behind the project.
“The 4 team packed excercise is to scout for potential players who could be given opportunity to play in English league this coming transfer”Lasora said.
Teams participating in the programme includes,
Imperial FC of Ogun state,
SC Primisports Lasora of Ilorin,
SpringSoca Academy of Lagos and Idiani Sports FA of Edo.
Lasora added that although it was an unplanned call on the club, he expressed delight at the recognition which he said will help the team in creating a better future for football youngsters.
He added the team has since resumed training upon the invitation and hope they will be able to meet up with the challenges as they participate in the tournament .
“Our sudden resumption was due to urgent nature of the invitation and past few days we have engaged the players in a 4 hours training in the morning and evening for 4 days which end today. We hope this will help in our challenges ahead.” He concluded.
Recall that SC Primisport Lasora were the runners- up of the first and last edition of Kwara Youth League where they lost to Kwara Football Academy in the final.
