SGL have booked their place in the final of the Sea Never Dry U-17 football competition ongoing at the Supreme Distilleries football field Iju-Ota, Ogun state, after they decimated Gbademu 4-0 in the second semifinal played on Wednesday evening.

Early goals from Adewale Segun and Abiodun Segun in the 6th and the 13th put SGL who looked more compose and determine on the front burner.

Gbademu got a chance to get back into the game from the penalty spot just before the halftime whistle, but Taofeek had other plans as he ballooned a wayward strike over the crossbar.

The second half began on a very intensive atmosphere as both teams came all out at each other but it was a disorganized Gbademu who got all possession looking for a response with SGL defending deep lunching into tackles.

Despite Gbademu having majority of the possession with no chance created, it was SGL who increased the goal tally on the 60th minutes after the goalkeeper for Gbademu failed to deal with an area ball which fell swiftly on the part of Abiodun Segun who fired home his brace on the evening to make it goal number three for SGL.

It all went from bad to worse for Gbademu as SGL made it 4-0, it was Abiodun Segun who completed his hattrick as he pounce on a defense splitting pass from Kayode off a counter attacking play to tap into an open net as SGL completed the rout on Gbademu, 4-0 the final score.

SGL will slug it out against De AbdulBest for the top prize in the final on Sunday at the Supreme Distilleries field by 4pm on Sunday, while Gbademu will play Embassy in the third place match by 2pm early kickoff.
