Facts are beginning to emerge regarding the removal of Sunday Adeleye as Technical Director of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria as well as Athletics Representative.
In a letter ref number: FMYSD/FEAD/TFAN/2019/CON/1/24 written by the AFN secretary general, it was revealed that Mr Sunday Adeleye has used his office to misappropriate funds in the course of the duty.
In this regards, athletics who is he representing have asked and recommended the ministry to remove him from the position he is holding.
According to the letter, 137 athletes alleging various misappropriation of funds have recommended that he should be removed as AFN Athletics Representative.
The decision to remove Sunday Adeleye was approved since May 2019 by the then minister Solomon Dalung when the petition first came in.
