Super Eagles Utility Player Targets Promotion With Turkish Club As Training Resumes After Lockdown

Super Eagles utility player Shehu Abdullahi has expressed his target to gain promotion to the elites league in Turkey as league football resumes after COVID-19 lockdown.

The Turkish football season was suspended indefinitely by the authorities following the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic disease.

Teams are now allowed back in training with the hope of concluding the football season, Shehu Abdullahi and his Bursaspor teammates made a return to training on Saturday under strict conditions.

The Sokoto state born player in a social media post revealed that he’s happy that the team is back in training.

“We are back in training, the world is gradually winning over #Covid_19. I’m delighted, work is back. I appreciate your support and motivation. Keep safe and stay alive!” he wrote.

The 27 year old is determined to help the team gain promotion back to the top flight at the end of the current season, he has however Found the back of the net four times this season for his side.

Bursaspor sits third on the Turkish league one table with 46 points from 28 matches, before the league was suspended.
