U17 World Cup : Eaglets Beat S/Korea In 6-Goal Thriller, Olakunle Bags Brace

Nigeria’s cadet national boys football team, known as the Golden Eaglets beat their South Korean counterpart 4-2 on Wednesday in one of their tune up game for FIFA U-17 World cup.

After they were beaten by Sao Paulo FC youth team 2-1 in their first friendly match when they arrive Brazil last week, Divine Nwachukwu headed Manu Garba tutored side in front just 6th minute into the game, four minutes after Eaglets conceded a spot kick which was converted by Oh Jaehyeok.

Choi Minseo put Korea ahead in the 41st minute, Olakunle Olusegun equalised for Nigeria a minute later as the first half ended in stalemate.

When it looks like the game will end in a draw, Olakunle Olusegun completed his brace in the 86th and Charles Etim’s curly shot outside the box sailed into the net as the game ended in a 6-goal thriller.

Next on the pipeline is Japan friendly match for Golden Eaglets before they will play their opening match at the U17 World cup against Hungary on October 26.
