Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen will miss Tuesday’s reverse fixture of the 2022 AFCON qualifiers against Sierra Leone after injuring his shoulder in the 4-4 draw on Friday, OwoSports reports.

The 21-year-old who has now returned to his Italian club Napoli for further treatment on his shoulder, was forced out of the Super Eagles 2022 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Sierra Leone on Friday after dislocating his shoulder.

Osimhen, who was replaced by Paul Onuachu, was later rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

He travelled to Italy on Sunday morning and would not be available for the reverse fixture against the Leone Stars at the Siaka Stevens Stadium, Freetown on Tuesday.

Osimhen scored Nigeria’s second goal in the 4-4 draw at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City.

He has now scored four goals and recorded one assist in three appearances in the qualifiers.
