Water FC Duo Signs First Professional Deal With Belgian Top Side

Playing football at the top professional level is the dream of every young footballer in country as excitements filled the faces of Water FC duo of Adewale Oladoye and Emeka Chinonso after they penned down their first professional contract with Belguim top flight side KAA Gent.

“Welcome Oladoye and Emeka
KAA Gent has given Adewale Oladoye and Chinonso Emeka their first professional contract”, the club announced on their official website.

Both youngsters, born in 2001, were trained by the Nigerian Academy Water FC based in Abuja where they were noticed by ex-Buffalo Egu Augustine and Marc Clarysse.

Adewale Oladoye August 25, 2001 is a powerful defensive midfielder. While Chinonso Emeka born August 30, 2001 excel in the attacking position striker.

They however won’t be going straight into the main team but will have the opportunity to mature with the reserves team and see through their progression into the main team.

They’re now the 7th and 8th Nigerian to sign for the Belguim side after late
Samuel Okwaraji, Etim Esin, Philip Azango, William Troost-Ekong, Moses Simon, Taiwo Awoniyi, and Samuel Kalu.

Gent currently seat 9th on the Belgian Jupiler League with 43 points from 31 games.
