Yobe Desert Signs Ex-Golden Eaglet Star From FC Yarmalight


Former Golden Eaglets attacking-midfielder, Abdul-Rahman Saidu ‘Arrow’ has completed a move to Nigerian National League side Yobe Desert Stars after agreeing terms and passing a Electrocardiography (ECG) test.

The FC Yarmalight of Gombe midfielder put pen to a loan deal thus leaving another NNL side Niger Tornadoes were he played on loan.

Part of the contract agreement would see Yobe Desert Stars signing him on a permanent deal in the second stanza of the current NNL season.

A delighted ‘Arrow’ said after the signing that: “Am happy that the deal is done and dusted as am ready for the new challenge.

“I want to thank the President of FC Yarmalight Malam Farouk Yarma and other parties involved for making this deal possible.

“I promise to give my best as I want to help the club achieve the target set for the season.”

Meanwhile the nation’s second-tier is expected to kick-off on January 30.

Yobe Desert Stars are in Group A2 will be having a tough season as they top teams like Tornadoes, Zamfara United, Kogi United and ABS FC to contend with for a promotion ticket to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Others are Road Safety FC, DMD FC, Malumfashi FC, Kebbi United and Real Stars.
