A total of ten teams have arrived in Abuja, the country’s capital, for the 2025 Evolution Cup Pan African Tournament, which kicks off on Monday, February 17, 2025. This year’s edition will be hosted at the Bawari Township Stadium in Bawari, Abuja.
Participating clubs include SGFC Athletics, Pro Sports FC, La Planet, Uboru FA, King O Football Club, Green Lock, Bolapro Sporting, Deportivo Football Academy Côte De Voire, and Fa8ballers Africa.
According to Olawale Olatoye, project strategist, “We’re excited to bring the Evolution Cup to Abuja for the first time, and we’re looking forward to an explosive tournament with the best teams from across Africa.”
Olawale expressed his gratitude for the endorsement of the Ministry of Youth Development and the National Sports Commission (NSC), as well as the support of top brands like BK Sports and Zero Sports Management.
“The Evolution Cup is a celebration of African football talent, and we’re honored to have such a strong lineup of teams and partners,” Olawale said.
The tournament kicks off on Monday with four matches:
– SGFC Athletics vs Pro Sports FC: 9 am
– Mallam FA vs Green Lock: 10 am
– Ubogu FA vs Bolapro Sporting: 11 am
– King O Football Club vs La Planet: 12 noon
