2022 AFCON Qualifiers: Super Eagles Jet Off To Freetown Today

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will today fly to Freetown as they look set to battle Sierra Leone in the return leg of their Group L 2021 AFCON qualifier on Tuesday, owosports.com.ng reports.

This was revealed by the Super Eagles’ Media Officer Babafemi Raji.

According to completesports.com, Babafemi Raji disclosed that the team who had their final training session on Sunday, will depart for Sierra Leone via a chartered flight by 8am.

He further revealed that striker Victor Osimhen left camp on Sunday and returned to his base following the shoulder injury he copped in the first leg on Friday.

The Eagles will look to bounce back after surrendereding a four-goal lead to draw 4-4 against the Leone Stars in Benin City on Friday.

The three-time African champions leads Group L with seven points after three games while Sierra Leone are third on two points, a victory for the Eagles will secure qualification for the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
