The 2022 Elective Congress of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has been slated to hold on 30th September 2022 in the ancient city of Benin City, the Edo State capital, Owosport.com.ng reports.
The elective congress will usher in new Nigeria Football Federation executives as the tenure of the incumbent president Amaju Pinnick elapses on the same date having been elected for the second time on September 20th 2018 in Katsina.
This was gathered from the delayed 2021 Annual General Assembly (AGA) held on Thursday August 18th 2022 at the Chateux De Atlantique Hotel, Lagos. The new election date is a 10 days elongation as against September 20th which was originally fixed for the elections.
Amaju Pinnick has served two tenures as the President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) having been elected twice in 2014 and 2018, he still secretly nurses an ambition to remain in office despite stating on two occasions that he won’t be going for a third term.
