… Draws Hold On October 7
The maiden edition of the Emir of Ilorin cup has been scheduled to kickoff on Saturday 14th of October 2023 with the draws expected to go down on Saturday 7th of the same month.
The organizers disclosed that the draws will come up on the 7th of October at the indoor sports hall of the Kwara State Sports Commission a week before the official kickoff.
The opening ceremony and opening match of the Emir of Ilorin cup will be held at the Queen Elizabeth School Football field in Ilorin on 14th October.
At least twenty four (24) team’s according to the organizers have registered and are ready to do battle when the competition commences.
According to the Chairman Organizing committee, Alhaji Abdulrasaq Adebayo Wopa, the tourney is organized to celebrate the eleventh (11) Emir of Ilorin Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, who clocks 28years on the throne come 11th November 2023. The final of the competition is scheduled to be played on the same date.
