Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Wednesday, pipped Joy Cometh of Lagos 2-1 in a friendly match decided at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
The game, organised to put both sides in shape ahead the resumption of the Nigeria National League (NNL), was keenly contested as the visitors gave the home team a good game.
Joy Cometh did well enough to hold the Stars until they eventually slipped in the 44th minute when Opeoluwa Olufemi scored from as assist from Fatai Gbadamosi.
The second half was barely two minutes old when Mohammed Mohammed doubled the lead for the Oluyole Warriors.
Daniel Adeniran pulled one back for Joy Cometh, capitalising on a slight mix up at the 3SC defence in the 66th minute.
Both sides efforts to add to the 2-1 scoreline yielded no dividend as the referee brought proceedings to an end after full time.
